The Most Merciful
The merciful are shown mercy by the Most Merciful. Be merciful to those on the earth, and the One above the heavens will have mercy upon you.”
«الرَّاحِمُونَ يَرْحَمُهُمُ الرَّحْمَنُ، ارْحَمُوا مَنْ فِي الأَرْضِ يَرْحَمْكُمْ مَنْ فِي السَّمَاءِ»
“رحم کرنے والوں پر رحمان رحم کرتا ہے۔ تم زمین والوں پر رحم کرو، آسمان والا تم پر رحم کرے گا۔”

Mercy Leads to Paradise
Whoever does not show mercy to the people, Allah will not show mercy to him.”
«مَنْ لَا يَرْحَمُ النَّاسَ لَا يَرْحَمُهُ اللَّهُ»
“جو لوگوں پر رحم نہیں کرتا، اللہ اس پر رحم نہیں کرے گا۔”

Kindness is a Blessing
Gentleness is not in anything except that it beautifies it, and it is not removed from anything except that it disgraces it.”
«إِنَّ الرِّفْقَ لَا يَكُونُ فِي شَيْءٍ إِلَّا زَانَهُ، وَلَا يُنْزَعُ مِنْ شَيْءٍ إِلَّا شَانَهُ»
“نرمی جس چیز میں بھی ہوتی ہے، اسے خوبصورت بنا دیتی ہے، اور جس چیز سے نرمی نکال لی جائے، وہ بدصورت ہو جاتی ہے

Mercy to Children
“Whoever does not show mercy to our young and respect our elders is not one of us.”
«مَنْ لَمْ يَرْحَمْ صَغِيرَنَا وَيَعْرِفْ حَقَّ كَبِيرِنَا فَلَيْسَ مِنَّا»
“جو ہمارے چھوٹوں پر رحم نہ کرے اور ہمارے بڑوں کا حق نہ پہچانے، وہ ہم میں سے نہیں۔”

Mercy Even in Punishment
“When you kill, kill in the best manner, and when you slaughter, slaughter in the best manner.”
«إِذَا قَتَلْتُمْ فَأَحْسِنُوا الْقِتْلَةَ، وَإِذَا ذَبَحْتُمْ فَأَحْسِنُوا الذَّبْحَ»
“جب تم قتل کرو تو اچھے طریقے سے قتل کرو، اور جب ذبح کرو تو اچھے طریقے سے ذبح کرو۔”

Forgiving Nature
Be forgiving, for forgiveness is closer to piety.”
«تَعَافَوْا فَإِنَّ الْعَفْوَ أَقْرَبُ لِلتَّقْوَى»
“معاف کر دیا کرو، کیونکہ معافی تقویٰ کے زیادہ قریب ہے۔”

Mercy to Animals
“There is a reward for [showing mercy to] every living creature.”
«فِي كُلِّ كَبِدٍ رَطْبَةٍ أَجْرٌ»
“ہر تر جگر (زندہ جاندار) پر رحم کرنے میں ثواب ہے۔”

The Prophet’s Mercy
“I am only a mercy sent (by Allah).”
«إِنَّمَا أَنَا رَحْمَةٌ مُهْدَاةٌ»
“میں تو صرف رحمت بنا کر بھیجا گیا ہوں۔”

Soft Heart
“Allah is Kind and loves kindness, and He grants for kindness what He does not grant for harshness.”
«إِنَّ اللَّهَ رَفِيقٌ يُحِبُّ الرِّفْقَ، وَيُعْطِي عَلَى الرِّفْقِ مَا لَا يُعْطِي عَلَى الْعُنْفِ»
“اللہ نرمی کرنے والا ہے اور نرمی کو پسند کرتا ہے، اور وہ نرمی پر ایسا عطا کرتا ہے جو سختی پر نہیں دیتا۔”

Mercy to Sinners
“If you knew what I know, you would laugh little and weep much.”
«لَوْ تَعْلَمُونَ مَا أَعْلَمُ لَضَحِكْتُمْ قَلِيلًا وَلَبَكَيْتُمْ كَثِيرًا»
“اگر تم وہ جانتے جو میں جانتا ہوں تو تم تھوڑا ہنستے اور زیادہ روتے۔”
